THE SIMULCAST STORY...

Orlando is a town of over one million people, but the broadcast community is a tight bunch.  Bob Frier, TV anchorman for WOFL, FOX 35, and Scott McKenzie, host of MIX 105.1's The Morning Mix have been buddies for years.  One afternoon after producing a song together, Scott said, "We should start a band."  Since they were both on the air, maybe they should call the band "SIMULCAST".  Bob grabbed the idea and ran with it.  His first phone call was to Gladys Justiniano, who had recently won Orlando's version of Idol.  After canvassing the area for the best musicians, 4 more players were invited to jam a couple of evenings at the TV station between newscasts.  The chemistry was immediate, and after a few months of rehearsals, SIMULCAST took their show to the public.

Since their launch in 2007, SIMULCAST has been invited to play at Universal CityWalk, The House of Blues, BB King's club, and downtown Orlando music festivals.  SIMULCAST has shared the stage with some of their favorite artists including Goo Goo Dolls, Sara Bareilles, Collective Soul, Third Eye Blind, Five For Fighting, and Matt Nathanson.  The band also plays at numerous charity and private events throughout Central Florida.
